WEEE Forum / Europe
Companies should note that the WEEE legislation is NOT identical across the European Union – indeed every Member State has its own version. This is not the same as, say, the RoHS legislation which is transposed across all Member States in an identical fashion. This means that the complications for companies covering more than one Member State need to be investigated and those companies need to be certain that they are able to handle the different legislative regimes and their different requirements. For further information on how companies can ensure that they are covered, Producers are recommended to attend one of the B2B Compliance free strategic seminars which will inform and reassure them as to the tasks that have to be carried out and the impacts that the legislation will have across their company’s activities.
B2B Compliance is a member of the WEEE Forum – a collective of not-for-profit, schemes from across the EU. This group of schemes meet regularly to discuss technical issues and solutions and to arrange mutually agreed lobbying and to pass on lesson learned and best practice.
Through the WEEE Forum, B2B Compliance has access to advice on the WEEE legislation and how to meet it, across the EU.
