B2B Compliance understands the frustrations for WEEE compliant Producers in a marketplace where competitors appear to ignore their obligations, potentially putting producers that are complying with the WEEE Regulations at a disadvantage.
B2B Compliance offers the facility for our Members to advise us of companies that are potentially obligated under the WEEE Regulations, but are not members of an approved compliance scheme or registered with the Environment Agency.
Our procedure is to contact the Producer directly to discuss their legal WEEE requirements and, where they are obligated, encourage them to join the B2B Compliance scheme. If following our discussions, the Producer does not show an inclination to comply with the legislation we will inform them that as a compliance scheme we have an obligation to notify the relevant authorities - the Environment Agency is now actively following up such leads.
This facility is in keeping with the ethos of B2B Compliance, both protecting our Members’ interests and keeping costs to a minimum by ensuring that Producers operate on a level playing field.
If you suspect a Producer to be obligated under the UK WEEE Regulations and Free Riding, please complete the form provided and send to us anonymously.
