Electrocycle Ltd is a specialist electrical and electronic waste recycling company set up to alleviate the problems organisations face in meeting their legal and environmental duty of care.

Electrocycle is unique in that it not only covers the whole of the UK using regional bases, but we also collect and recycle a whole range of electrical and electronic waste – not just I.T.

Collection & Recycling

Electrocycle’s affiliation with B2B Compliance means that we already collect and recycle obligated WEEE on behalf of over 450 companies, which ensures an optimal route density resulting in an efficient and cost-effective logistic operation.

Our sophisticated IT system has been specially designed to provide us with complete control in coordinating and managing WEEE collections throughout the United Kingdom. The Electrocycle national infrastructure consists of regional recycling centres which minimises logistical costs to customers as well as helping to drive down the associated carbon footprints. We also work with professional and experienced social enterprises to boost the reuse of electrical and electronic equipment, in line with the WEEE Regulations, and to support the "triple bottom line" approach (financial/environmental/social).

Electrocycle’s Specialist Services

• A comprehensive WEEE collection service from all sites in the UK;

• Unlike many recyclers that only deal with office IT equipment, Electrocycle recycles a very broad range of types of electrical and electronic waste, including hazardous WEEE, spare parts, consumables and sub-assemblies as well as heavy equipment (> 1 tonne) and lightweight WEEE;

• Maximise recycling and recovery so that your waste is dealt with as environmentally friendly as possible and avoiding the ever-increasing landfill costs;

• Provision of a range of containers to safely, securely and neatly store electrical and electronic waste on your site prior to pick up;

• Generate waste transfer notes and hazardous/special waste consignment notes for customers;

• Ad-hoc or frequent collection services and office, building or site removals;

• Data wiping and/or destruction of servers, hard drives & laptops;

Licences & Certificates

Waste legislation can be a minefield for any business. You and your customers have a duty of care to make sure that your waste is handled by fully licensed companies and that they deal with it legally, environmentally and ethically.
 
Electrocycle is a registered waste carrier & broker with the Environment Agency under the Controlled Waste (Registration of Carriers & Seizure of Vehicles) Regulations 1991 – Registration Number BUS/723567/CB. Customers can feel secure in the knowledge that their waste won’t end up polluting streams in Africa or being dismantled by children in Asia.

Electrocycle has also has gained ISO 14001:2004 certification from BSI for our Environmental Management System (Certificate Number EMS 506235) which commits the organisation to continuously improve its environmental performance.
